NigComSat-1R was successfully launched into the target orbit by a Long March 3B (LM-3B) vehicle from Xichang Satellite Launch Centre in South West China.

ILS Proton/Breeze M has successfully orbited two satellites with Proton’s 9th flight of 2011 year and the 372nd Proton launch overall. Both satellites - Loutch 5A (for Russia) and the AMOS-5 (for Israel) were constructed by ISS-Reshetnev.

Asiasat 7 launch success

November 25th 2011, Baikonur Cosmodrome, Kazakhstan

ILS Proton/Breeze M has successfully launched Asiasat 7 satellite and 9 hours and 13 minutes after liftoff released the satellite to GTO. AsiaSat 7 carries 28 C-band, 17 Ku-band transponders and a Ka-band payload and will provide a broad range of applications for the Asia-Pacific region, including television broadcast and VSAT networks.

Palo Alto, Calif. and Hong Kong – November 11, 2011


Space Systems/Loral and AsiaSat today announced the signing of construction of two communications satellites - AsiaSat 6 and AsiaSat 8 planned to be launched by early 2014. The two satellites will serve Asia, the Middle East and Australasia and are designed on the decade’s proven SS/L 1300 satellite platform.
